Brigades Lyriques Itinérantes : what is it ?
The Brigades Lyriques Itinérantes have only one objective: to make Lyric Art accessible to all.
We reach out to new audiences, in companies, cooperatives, schools, leisure centres, markets, public squares,… and even theatres.
An offbeat approach to the Opera, either in form, location or choice of repertoire.
We want to desecrate the lyrical repertoire (operas, comic operas and operettas) whose image remains, wrongly, elitist when it is popular and brings together all audiences of all ages.
The Impromptus Lyriques of the Brigades Lyriques Itinérantes allow everyone to approach the Opera and to have a first contact with this repertoire before, then, crossing the doors of the theatre during the Nuits Lyriques de Marmande.
"Les Bretelles de Carmen et Cie"
In 2019, the Brigades Lyriques Itinérantes give Carte Blanche to a duo from the collective “Dépoussiérons Les Partitions”, composed of Alicia Haté, Mezzo-soprano, and Aliénor Guéniffet, accordionist.
Opera and Accordion are mixed to popularize classical music thanks to this instrument, “piano du pauvre”, whose rich harmonies will seduce you for a revisit of the “tubes” of opera and operetta in a funny and insolent repertoire, tender and passionate.
A magical formula that combines the warmth and energy of two voices, two breaths.
Come and discover the Lyrical Art in an offbeat way. We have a drink and nibble and after listen to the greatest arias of the repertoire. Relaxed as in a dance hall and moving as in the Opera while keeping a sense of humour.
Get ready to dance with Offenbach and the others !
