The Opera is
in the Meadow!
“L’Opéra est dans le Pré!” by Nuits Lyriques was a project initially conceived as part of the Participatory Budget set up by the Lot-et-Garonne Department.
- Opera in rural areas
Since 2022, we have transformed this project into a reality, even though we were unable to benefit from the Participatory Budget.
We have thus enriched our offering with this “hors les murs” initiative organized as part of the Festival. This original concept blends offbeat and lyrical repertoire in a rural, heritage setting.
Les Nuits Lyriques thus plays a significant role in the cultural and artistic development of the region in terms of cultural accessibility, education and awareness of opera.
These initiatives are building a dynamic network and actively contributing to the vitality, influence and enrichment of our region.
- Lyric art with a societal role
Since 2022, we’ve been working with Marmande’s Maison Arc-en-ciel (a home for people with psychological problems) to co-organize the “L’Opéra est dans le Pré” evening at the Summer Festival. The members of the Maison Arc-en-ciel become active players in the event, taking charge of the design, preparation, organization and service of the meal for 220 spectators after the evening’s performance of “L’Opéra est dans le pré”.
